China succeeds in passing OIF interconnection test for the Intelligent Optical Network ASON    by Mike Arnoel

China, in order to announce a few days ago, its mere network equipment of intelligence was by mere interconnection forum OIF (OpticalInternetworkingForum) The Intelligent Optical Network interconnection of global range organizing succeeds in cooperating with China Telecom, Freneh Telecom,etc. while testing, pass OIF2009 interconnection test smoothly. The test item mainly includes user-network interface UNI2.0 (User-to-Network Interface) And outside network interface E-NNI (External Network-to-Network Interface) ,MPLS-TP(MPLS Transport Profile) When. UNI/E-NNI function that success tested shows the Intelligent Optical Network is becoming more complete. Through that E-NNI realize the intersection of multiple domain and network connection, make ASON (Automatic Switching Optical Network) Network connection scale last multiple domain let single domain,further last ASON the scales of the networks, promote the large-scale application of the Intelligent Optical Network.

OIF is one of three major international organizations of Intelligent Optical Network, mainly devoted to the relevant work of interconnection of Intelligent Optical Network. Promote the Intelligent Optical Network in worldwide interconnection, it is a main goal tested in this interconnection. China has realized with the route, signalling and service interworking between the mere network equipment of intelligence of leading firm of industry for the mere network equipment of intelligence, it marks interconnection of ASON/GMPLS to be already ripe, many the intersection of producer and the intersection of union and the intersection of network connection and namely arrival commercial times.
